Big gardens, home cooking and canning has been passed down for generations in the Weaver and Collins families from which we came.

Prairie Pond Farm is a family-owned microfarm located on the Darby Plains in central Ohio. We use sustainable farming methods and no synthetic chemicals. We save our own seed, plant, nurture and harvest everything by hand. While our yields aren’t huge, Prairie Pond Farm's produce is, truly, of the best quality you can get. We've sold garlic, tomatoes and peppers to family, friends and neighbors for years--now we'd like to sell to you!

Quality over quantity

• Flavor: Home-grown, local food simply tastes better. It just does. We grow with the table and tastebuds in mind.

• Heirloom and Unique Market Varieties: We find and grow vegetable varieties that you cannot find at the grocery, and you're not likely to find at your local Farmer's Market.

• Sustainability: We start with healthy soil. The manure from our chickens, the clippings from our lawn, the leaves from our trees, and the food waste from our kitchen find their way into our garden. Crop rotation, cover cropping, composting, and mulching build microbe-rich soil. NO synthetic fertilizers or chemical pesticides are ever used!

• Family Operated: There's a lot of love and sharing at Prairie Pond Farm. Everybody pitches in to get things done. Even the grandkids help out!
